- Inspired by the pandemic’s effects on small businesses, I painted a mural where leaves and vines are taking over the bar as if it was abandoned for a bit of time. I also painted exposed brick, inspired by Everett’s historic buildings.

The mural is in all white, it represents hope, beauty, and a white shadow of solidarity for all the folks who felt the impact of Covid-19.

A set of 6 paintings painted on wood panels created to educate customers about how the hard cider is made from ‘Tree-to-Tap’. The collection is open to the public at Riverview Road Cidery.

Artist Bio - Inner Child

Mahllie’s childhood in Snohomish painted a vivid backdrop for her imaginative spirit. The lush green surroundings and the gentle sounds of nature became the tapestry of her adventures. Her days were filled with the thrill of discovery—whether it was the surprise of a frog's leap or the subtle rustle of a snake in the grass, each moment held the promise of a new story.

Influenced profoundly by classic films, she absorbed their enchantment, each scene sparking her youthful imagination. The characters of “The Secret Garden,” “Jane Eyre,” and “Pride and Prejudice” instilled in her a yearning for depth, mystery, and romance. Mahllie envisioned herself on daring escapades, penning letters adorned with quail feathers, each word a brushstroke on the canvas of her reality.

Her love for antique shops fueled her curiosity, each item a whisper from the past, each stamp in her grandmother’s collection a portal to a different time. Nature, with its vibrant colors and symphony of sounds, became her ultimate muse, inspiring her to weave magic into everything she touched.

In those formative years, Mahllie not only romanticized the world around her but began to cultivate a vision. She dreamed of a life where every day was an adventure filled with elegance, discovery, and heartfelt connections. This fusion of imagination and reality would shape her journey as she continued to explore the uncharted territories of her life and creativity.
